Red Acre Cabbage is a crop that can be grown in a wide variety of climates. The plant produces medium sized, maroon heads of great flavor and texture. The hardy plants grow fast and produce heads five to seven inches in diameter. Can be sown in Spring for early summer harvest, but prefers Fall growing conditions. Harvest the heads after about 100 days when they firm up. Not a storage type.
