One of the oldest snap beans varieties!

One of the oldest known wax beans, Golden Wax was first introduced sometime around 1871. In 1932 W. Atlee Burpee said: "The variety has proved to be practically free from rust except when grown under decidedly unfavorable conditions." It is still true today and one of the best, most disease resistant yellow snap beans found in the home garden!

Bush bean, also known as snap bean, is one of the most popular annual vegetables grown in home gardens. Germinating in just under a week, bush bean are harvestable as soon as 50-60 days and are an ideal introductory crop for children and beginners.

This variety is a superior golden wax type of snap beans. Pods are stringless, straight, slightly flattened, a shade of light-yellow with a rich, buttery flavor. In addition to producing crisp beans, this bush-type plant gives vibrant, golden yellow pods that make a great accent piece in a garden. A good choice for container garden as well.

Steady and productive. An excellent choice for freezing and canning.
